The Tamron 18-270 VC manages to do almost everything right apart from macro photography, but then again that is not something one would expect from this type of lens. With a focus range as large as that of the Tamron, you’ll definitely want to make use of this feature to get the best out of your shots. If you are upgrading from a standard kit lens, you will find that the Tamron adds a lot of weight to your camera, which can lead to unwanted shake –especially at full zoom.
